Discover Downtown Washington Announces Final Façade Grant Recipient

 

WASHINGTON, Indiana – The Quick Impact Façade Grant Program, organized by Discover Downtown Washington, its final grant recipient for 2023. A total of eleven façade grants will be awarded matching funds up to $3,500 each, upon completion of the work and adherence to the façade grant guidelines.

 

This program is intended to create an opportunity that will stimulate quick improvements to the exteriors of the buildings within downtown Washington, Indiana. The goal of the program is to stimulate retail growth and is designed to reflect quick, tangible, positive change downtown through enhanced aesthetics.

 

This grant was made in partnership with the City of Washington and Daviess County, each sponsoring fifty percent of the grant.

 

The total amount of private invested dollars for all downtown façade projects is more than $273,450.89.
