Our committees are based on the Indiana Main Street Four-Point Approach® created by the Office of Community and Rural Affairs: Organization, Promotion, Design, and Economic Vitality. The people who make the Main Street network are passionate advocates, dedicated volunteers, influential stakeholders, and community organizers all working to transform the heart of our city into a place for residents to live, work, and play.
Organization
Collaborates with public and private businesses, and organizations. Manages financial and logistical aspects of organization.
Promotion
Marketing efforts of the district to residents, visitors, and investors. Promotes commerce, culture, and community life.
Design
Improves physical environment by renovations, new construction, and signage. Shapes the physical image of Main Street.
Economic Vitality
Strengthens the district's economic base. Identifies new market opportunities, new uses for historic buildings, and stimulates investment.
