Cancellation Policy

This policy outlines the terms for advertising on the Commons Connection digital display. Ad Reservations Ad space is first-come, first-served and not guaranteed until payment is received. Inventory is limited. Discover Downtown Washington may limit similar business categories to maintain fair exposure. Billing & Payment All ads must be paid in advance. Monthly, quarterly, and annual plans are billed at the start of each term. Non-payment may result in ad suspension. Content Standards Ads must be appropriate for all audiences and comply with all laws. Offensive, misleading, or illegal content is prohibited. Discover Downtown Washington may reject or request edits to any ad. Ad Submission & Design Ads may be submitted ready-to-run or created through an optional design service. Required sizing and format details will be provided after purchase. Final approval is required before publishing. Scheduling & Rotation Ads rotate based on placement type. Full-screen ads display for approximately 60 seconds per cycle. Banner ads rotate continuously. Exact frequency is not guaranteed. Campaign Terms Monthly ads run for 30 days from activation. Short-term, quarterly, and annual campaigns run for their purchased term. Expired ads are removed unless renewed. Cancellations & Refunds No refunds are issued after a campaign begins. Future campaigns may qualify for credit or partial refund before activation. Quarterly and annual plans are non-refundable once active unless otherwise approved. Content Updates One minor update per billing cycle is included. Additional revisions may incur a fee. Same-day updates are not guaranteed. Placement Limits To maintain visibility: Top Banner: 3–4 advertisers Bottom Banner: 4–6 advertisers Full-Screen Ads: 3–5 advertisers Limits may change as needed to preserve ad effectiveness. Right to Refuse or Remove Discover Downtown Washington may remove or reject ads that violate policy, contain inaccurate or inappropriate content, create technical issues, or conflict with legal/public requirements. Liability Advertisers are responsible for the accuracy and legality of submitted content. Discover Downtown Washington is not liable for errors or outcomes related to ad placement.
