Discover Downtown Washington Announces Façade Grant Recipients
WASHINGTON, Indiana –
The Quick Impact Façade Grant Program, organized by Discover Downtown Washington, has selected four new recipients to receive a facade grant. Ten or more façade projects will be awarded matching funds up to $3,500 each, upon completion of the work and adherence to the façade grant guidelines.
This program is intended to create an opportunity that will stimulate quick improvements to the exteriors of the buildings within downtown Washington, Indiana. The goal of the program is to stimulate retail growth and is designed to reflect quick, tangible, positive change downtown through enhanced aesthetics.
This grant was made in partnership with the City of Washington and Daviess County, each sponsoring fifty percent of the grant.
The total amount of private invested dollars for these downtown façade projects is more than $81,400.
