Market Info Email
Hello Vendors,
We are excited to welcome you to the first Downtown Washington Farmers Market of the 2026 season this Saturday, June 6!
If you are receiving this email, you have successfully registered for this week's market. If you purchased a ticket but did not receive an approval email, please contact us immediately.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
Market Hours: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Vendors may arrive as early as needed for setup.
All booths must be fully set up and ready for customers by 9:00 AM sharp.
Unload your vehicle, then move it to designated parking areas.
Watch for a second email later this week containing booth assignments and the updated market map.
A Busy Weekend Downtown
This weekend is shaping up to be one of the biggest of the year, with more than 15 events taking place throughout Downtown Washington.
In addition to the Farmers Market, Discover Downtown Washington is hosting Spring Into Downtown, which includes a free shuttle running between Downtown Washington and the Chandelier Barn Market Gather & Grow event at Eastside Park from 10:00 AM–4:00 PM. This means we are expecting increased foot traffic throughout the day and a great opportunity for vendors.
New Market Layout for 2026
Our vendor list has nearly doubled from last season, and we are excited to expand the market into both covered pavilions.
Season Pass Vendors
Located in the Market Pavilion.
Will generally retain the same space each week unless adjustments become necessary.
Single Market Vendors
Located in the larger Event Pavilion during select markets.
Open Lot Vendors
May have the opportunity to move into covered spaces if openings become available.
Please note that some special event days, such as the June 27 Conservation Resource Fair, will require a modified layout.
Vendor placement is determined by market management based on factors including:
Vendor type
Space requirements
Electrical needs
Overall market flow and customer experience
A separate email will be sent with your booth assignment and updated market map.
Arrival & Setup
Vendors may begin setting up as early as needed Saturday morning.
All booths must be fully set up and ready for customers by 9:00 AM sharp.
Please check in with market staff before setting up if you are unsure of your assigned space.
Each vendor space is approximately 10' x 10'.
Vendors must provide their own tables, chairs, extension cords, cord covers, displays, and other setup materials.
Market staff can answer questions regarding placement but cannot assist with physical setup or teardown.
Parking & Unloading
To improve traffic flow and safety, both parking lots adjacent to The Commons will be coned off prior to market setup.
You may use these lots to unload your vehicle.
After unloading:
Move your vehicle to non-premium public parking areas.
Recommended parking is available:
Across from The Commons near the Community Schools building
At the corner of 3rd Street and South Street
Event Pavilion vendors may leave vehicles parked in the lot adjacent to the pavilion near 4th and South Streets (across from The Tux).
For safety reasons, we do not want vehicles entering or leaving vendor lots during market hours (9:00 AM–1:00 PM).
If you anticipate needing to leave before the market concludes, please do not park in the rear pavilion lot.
Electricity
Electricity is limited and available only to vendors who indicated an electrical need during registration.
Vendors must provide their own outdoor-rated extension cords and cord covers.
If your electrical needs have changed since registering, please notify market management immediately.
Weather & Displays
The market operates rain or shine.
While both pavilions are covered, vendors are welcome to bring:
Tents
Backdrops
Display walls
Other booth enhancements
Please do not attach anything to pavilion columns or structures. Magnets may be used if needed.
Market Hours & Early Departure
We ask all vendors to remain for the full market whenever possible.
If you sell out, fantastic! You are welcome to leave early.
Otherwise, remaining through the end of the market helps maintain a full and vibrant shopping experience for customers and fellow vendors.
At the conclusion of the market, please pack up and clear the area as efficiently as possible.
Market Staff
Byron Holtsclaw (Big Greene Thumb) will serve as Market Manager and will be located in Space #1 of the Market Pavilion.

Beth Gabhart

You'll also see Discover Downtown Washington volunteers throughout the market who can:
Answer questions
Watch your booth briefly while you grab food or take a break

Food Options
We will make every effort to have a food truck or food vendor onsite each week.
If a food truck is unavailable, nearby options include:
The New White Steamer
Cherry Ghost Coffee House
Occasional specials from the Knights of Columbus or VFW
