September 4 & 5 | Historic Downtown Washington

Fall is coming to Downtown Washington, and we’re celebrating with two full days of shopping, dining, live music, art, giveaways, and plenty to discover!

We’ve partnered with our downtown merchants, local artists and musicians, and the Chandelier Barn Market to make Discover Fall Downtown a weekend worth making plans for.

Here’s everything happening:

🛍️ DOWNTOWN HOP & SHOP

Friday & Saturday

Our downtown merchants are rolling out the welcome mat! Spend the weekend exploring your favorite shops and discovering a few new ones along the way.

Look for fall arrivals, special promotions, refreshments, giveaways, unique experiences, and more at participating businesses throughout downtown.

Every purchase supports the locally owned businesses that help make Downtown Washington special.

🍔🎶🍺 GRUBS, GROOVES & BREWS

Friday Evening

Don’t head home when the shops close!

Kick off the weekend Friday evening with Grubs, Grooves & Brews, featuring live music, great food, local drinks, and a lively downtown atmosphere.

It’s the perfect way to wind down after a day of shopping—or start your Discover Fall Downtown weekend!

Saturday | Throughout Downtown

This isn't your ordinary Hop & Shop!

Stop by the Discover Downtown Washington info table to pick up your Decoder Card. Then visit participating downtown merchants to collect the clues.

Crack the secret message and turn in your completed card for your chance to win!

Make a whole day of it without worrying about moving your car!

Our FREE shuttle will run between:

Chandelier Barn Market Fall Show at Eastside Park ↔ Chandelier Barn Market Main Street ↔ Downtown Art Show

Visit the Fall Show, hop aboard, and come discover everything happening downtown!

🎨 FREE COMMUNITY ART SHOW

Saturday | 10 AM–4 PM Greetings from Washington Mural

We’re teaming up with the Daviess County Arts and Culture Alliance to fill downtown with local creativity!

Stroll through the Art Show and discover work from artists of all ages and experience levels, from painting and photography to fiber arts and more.

See something you love? Many participating artists will also have their work available to purchase!

Are you an artist? Participation is FREE, but spaces are limited. Reserve your 10' x 10' space through our website.

🎶 MUSIC ON MAIN

Saturday | 10 AM–4 PM

We’re filling Main Street with music all afternoon! Stop by throughout the day for a new live performance every hour:

10 AM — Alan Pancake 11 AM — Faithway Baptist Church 12 PM — Assembly of God 1 PM — Bethany 2 PM — The Luke Stone Band 3 PM — Storm the Gates Ministry

Shop for a while, grab some lunch, find a place to sit, and enjoy the sounds of downtown!

🍁 MAKE A WEEKEND OF IT

Come for an hour or spend the whole weekend exploring. Shop small, discover local artists, listen to live music, grab something delicious, ride the shuttle, solve the Decoder Challenge, and experience Downtown Washington along the way.

Admission is FREE, and everyone is welcome!
